What is Snapchat?

Mobile application created in 2010 that can be used to send photos and videos which are then deleted from the recipient's phone and the Snapchat server after having been viewed.

Senders can send their images to a single or several contacts, which can be viewed for a user-specified length of time before they become inaccessible. They can also publish to a Story, where a user's followers can view publications for 24 hours.

The Snapcash function was added in 2014, enabling money to be sent via the application.
