## At a glance

Growing awareness of the food industry's impact on the environment and of the scale of the climate crisis, which is breaking temperature records month after month, is revolutionising the market and setting new directions for consumption.

According to the IPCC, the UN's panel of experts, 23% of all greenhouse gases emitted come from agriculture, a figure that can reach 37% if the emissions linked to global food production are added.

The figures and the latest climate disasters are deafening, so the need to change the current food model is becoming imperative. Around this, movements and companies are emerging that champion the value of real food, create sustainable products or research the possible production of cell-based food. New consumption alternatives are opening up in a market that has barely got going...

## Cases

01 / 05

Zorraquino spotlights

1. 01
Consumer habits are changing, guided by environmental awareness, in a scenario in which real food, based on sustainable eating, is reclaiming its place against an industry dominated by the production of ultra-processed food.
2. 02
Movements that denounce the ingredients of ultra-processed products as harmful are gaining social weight, a public health problem that, they say, must be tackled through policy rather than by focusing on individual responsibility.
3. 03
Some public administrations are beginning to regulate food industry advertising with the aim of discouraging the consumption of certain products, probably spurred by the latest climate crisis reports and social demands.
