This step helps achieve considerable savings in costs and resources. Now we are also seeing robots built for direct use with humans, so that they can provide services and extend the scope of what people can do. Last year Gartner already put AuT at the top of its list of technology trends. According to the consultancy’s figures, by 2021 so-called swarm or collaborative intelligence will be a central design element for at least 30% of organisations implementing AI-enhanced systems. For next year, it also expects 10% of new vehicles to have autonomous driving capabilities, compared with less than one per cent in 2018\. The use of autonomous entities keeps growing around the world… ## Cases 01 / 05 Zorraquino spotlights 1. 01 Automation is going beyond industrial production and into human life, carrying out everyday tasks independently. 2. 02 The AI of robots, drones and autonomous vehicles goes beyond the automation provided by rigid programming models. 3. 03 Artificial intelligence is now being used to deliver advanced behaviour that interacts more naturally with the environment and with people. ## More on the trend ### References - [Shanghai New Year drone display was pre-recorded](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-50979557) - [Domino’s Pizza plans robot deliveries with self-driving minivans in 2019](https://www.fastcompany.com/90364831/dominos-pizza-plans-robot-van-deliveries-in-houston-in-2019?) - [CES 2020 unveils BellaBot: Meet the moody, meowing robot cat waiter](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/2020/01/06/ces-2020-meet-moody-meowing-robot-cat-waiter/) - [Pensa Systems raises $10 million to deploy inventory-tracking drones in retail stores](https://venturebeat.com/2019/11/19/pensa-systems-raises-10-million-to-deploy-inventory-tracking-drones-in-retail-stores/) - [Terradepth raises $8 million to build a fleet of autonomous deep-ocean data robots](https://www.bbc.com/news/business-47442953) - [Self-driving wheelie bin automatically rolls your rubbish to the curb on bin day](https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/10041830/self-driving-wheelie-bin-smart-can/) - [Meet Tengai, the job interview robot who won't judge you](https://www.bbc.com/news/business-47442953) - [Meet Digit: A Smart Little Robot That Could Change the Way Self-Driving Cars Make](https://medium.com/self-driven/meet-digit-self-driving-delivery-last-mile-solution-418d9995bb97) - [Skyryse shows off end-to-end autonomous flight technology with helicopter demonstration](https://techcrunch.com/2019/12/17/skyryse-shows-off-end-to-end-autonomous-flight-technology-with-helicopter-demonstration/) - [Self-driving wheelie bin automatically rolls your rubbish to the curb on bin day](https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/10041830/self-driving-wheelie-bin-smart-can/) - [Gartner Identifies the Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2019](https://www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2018-10-15-gartner-identifies-the-top-10-strategic-technology-trends-for-2019) - [Momento Techie: Cinco noticias de esta semana](https://www.reasonwhy.es/actualidad/noticias-techie-uber-submarino-google-glass-2019) Pages 110–133 of the report [![Audio power: Technology stimulates natural means of human interaction.](https://cdn.sanity.io/images/0w1142l8/production/e7b7dba1ab7e4f7e4ee448612addbd27df03eb25-1920x1280.webp/audio-power-technology-stimulates-natural-means-of-human-interaction.webp?w=1600&fit=max&auto=format&q=85)](https://www.zorraquino.com/en/trends/digital-trends-2020/audio-power) Next trend · 06 [Audio power](https://www.zorraquino.com/en/trends/digital-trends-2020/audio-power)
