What is a keyline?

Keylines allow for consistent placement of elements outside the design grid. These are vertical lines that show where elements are placed in a design that is not aligned with the grid.

Keylines are determined by the distance of each element from the edge of the screen, measured in 8dp increments. They can create more or less space between elements in a layout and are adjustable by breakpoint range.
