What is HTTP header?

In Hypertext Transfer Protocol or http – the language used by web browsers to communicate with web servers – these are the lines of information which are included in each communication (i.e. in each request and response sent from the browser to the server and vice versa).

They include information on the kind of browser used, the character set, the type of server, the date of the request, and the address of the page requested. In the communication process between a server and a browser, dozens of http requests may be generated and each one will have its own header, which makes viewing the website possible.
