AI adoption
AI adoption is the process of incorporating artificial intelligence capabilities into organisational work in a useful, controlled and sustainable way. It includes selecting tasks, adapting processes, preparing data and people, and evaluating outcomes
What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.
What it is and how it works
A technical pilot can show that a tool works without proving that it improves the wider process. Adoption requires ownership, quality criteria, supervision and conditions for discontinuing a solution. It should account for who receives the output, how errors are detected and what happens when the tool fails. Frequent use indicates activity, but does not establish value on its own.

Frequently asked questions about AI adoption
We have run AI pilots, but the business sees little change. What might be missing?
The automated task may not be clearly connected to the outcome of the wider process. Check whether apparent savings reappear as review, correction or coordination work elsewhere. People also need to know when to use the solution and understand its limits. AI adoption should establish a baseline, acceptable quality, ownership and evaluation in real work. Scaling a pilot makes sense when that assessment shows a useful, sustainable improvement.
