Cognitive walkthrough

A cognitive walkthrough is an expert evaluation method that analyses whether a person could learn to complete tasks in an interface

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

Evaluators step through actions and examine whether the goal, the control and the system's response are understandable. It relies on assumptions about users and tasks. It complements testing with participants, but does not replace observing their actual behaviour.
