Contextual inquiry
A contextual inquiry combines conversation and observation while a person carries out activities in their usual environment
What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.
What it is and how it works
It helps understand tools, interruptions and constraints that do not come up in an abstract conversation. The researcher should ask questions without unnecessarily disrupting the task. The analysis should consider how the observer's presence may influence behaviour.
