What it is and how it works
It stands out for enabling prototypes with advanced logic, such as conditions, variables, dynamic content and working forms, without coding, as well as generating specification documentation. For that reason it has traditionally been used on complex projects, such as business applications or platforms with many states.
It coexists with cloud-based collaborative design tools such as Figma, which combine visual design and prototyping and have become widespread in product teams. The choice depends on the level of fidelity and logic the prototype needs and on how the team works. It is a commercial tool with a paid licence.
