Breakpoint

A breakpoint is a condition at which the presentation of a responsive interface changes

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It is usually defined by the available space, although it can respond to other characteristics of the environment. It is best chosen when the content needs a different layout. Specific devices are useful for testing, but should not be the only design criterion.
