Robotic process automation

Robotic process automation, or RPA, uses software to carry out repetitive tasks on systems following defined rules

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It can reproduce a person's actions on existing interfaces or integrate with other mechanisms. It does not necessarily require artificial intelligence. Whether it is appropriate depends on stability, exceptions and maintenance; automating a faulty process can multiply its problems.
