Added value

Added value is the additional contribution incorporated into a good or service. In economics, it relates to the difference between the value produced and the inputs used

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

In marketing, it describes benefits a person values over other options, such as service, convenience or knowledge. Adding a feature does not demonstrate that value has been created for the audience. The cost of producing it needs to be distinguished from the usefulness it provides in the context of use.
