Human-centred design

Human-centred design develops solutions based on an understanding of people's needs, abilities and contexts

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It incorporates research and evaluation throughout the process, involving those who will use or receive the service. It should also take technical and organisational constraints into account. Listening to preferences helps, but observing tasks and testing alternatives gives a better understanding of the problems.
