XML sitemap

An XML sitemap tells search engines which URLs the site considers relevant for crawling

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It should list canonical, accessible versions consistent with the intended indexing. Modification dates should reflect real changes. Submitting it helps discovery, but does not guarantee that every page will be crawled or indexed.
