What is usability?

The level of simplicity and accessibility of use. It refers to what extent a website or application has an attractive design, is comprehensible in its presentation, and can be used intuitively by a new user.

Although it can trace its origins back to the early days of ergonomics, usability as it is known today was born in the 90s, which was when the first personal computers and the World Wide Web became popular, which gave rise to a professional discipline. The Dane Jacob Nielsen, regarded as being the father of web usability, defined the 10 heuristics or usability rules.
