What it is and how it works
It can draw on cycles such as PDCA or PDSA without being reduced to completing the steps behind the initials. Improvements do not always have to be small, but they need a clear relationship with the problem. Reviewing their effect on the whole helps prevent a local optimisation from shifting errors or effort to another team or the user.
