Jakob's law
Jakob's law states that people bring to an interface the expectations they have learnt from using other products
What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.
What it is and how it works
Respecting familiar conventions can reduce the effort of learning. It is a design guideline, not a ban on innovation. When a common pattern is changed, it is worth checking whether the benefit outweighs the new difficulty and whether the interaction is understood.
