Affinity map

An affinity map groups observations or ideas according to relationships that help make sense of a body of information

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It is used in research synthesis and ideation. It is worth keeping the link to the original evidence and reviewing alternative groupings. The result is a working interpretation, not an objective structure that appears automatically when notes are moved around.
