Corporate naming

Corporate naming is the creation and selection of an organisation's name. It should respond to its proposition, its audiences and the contexts in which it will be used

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It includes exploring meaning, pronunciation and differentiation, alongside the relevant feasibility checks. It differs from naming architecture, which sets rules for relating the names of products, services or divisions. A corporate name does not need to explain every activity, but should allow for a comprehensible and sustainable identity.
