Aided recall

Aided recall is a measure of recognition that uses cues, such as brand names or signs. It differs from unaided recall, which asks people to name brands without showing them

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

The selection and presentation of stimuli affect the result. Recognising a symbol does not always mean attributing it to the correct brand. The measure is used to study awareness under defined conditions and should be kept separate from preference, trust and purchase intention.
