Attribution model

An attribution model establishes how credit for a conversion is shared between interactions or channels

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It can follow rules or data-based estimates. Its results depend on the observable information and the model's assumptions. Attributing a conversion to a channel does not prove that the channel caused an incremental result.
