What it is and how it works
It can help place shared historical experiences in context, but does not in itself describe skills, values or buying habits. When comparing it with the millennial generation in market research, age, life stage and socioeconomic context should be distinguished. Two people from the same generation can have very different needs and may not form a useful segment for the same offering.
