PageRank

PageRank is a link analysis method developed to estimate the relative importance of pages within a network

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It is part of the history and evolution of Google's search systems. It should not be confused with the old public toolbar score or with metrics from third-party providers. A page's position depends on multiple signals; it cannot be deduced from a single score.
