Hater is an informal label applied to someone who expresses persistent, hostile rejection of a person, brand or content online. It describes a perception of behaviour, not a diagnosis of their motives

What it is and how it works
Harsh criticism should be distinguished from insults, harassment or threats. Moderation should respond to observable behaviour and known rules. Dismissing someone with the label can obscure a valid complaint; addressing a specific problem does not require tolerating abuse.
