Minimum viable product

A minimum viable product, or MVP, is the version of an offering that yields relevant learning with the effort needed to test a hypothesis

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

Its scope depends on what is to be validated. It can be a limited experience, a manual service or a working prototype. Minimum does not mean careless: it must provide an interpretable test and respect the safety and trust conditions of the context.
