Maximum CTR

Maximum CTR is the highest click-through rate recorded in an online advertising campaign, either at a given moment or by its best-performing ad

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

It is not a standard metric in ad platforms but a way of referring to the peak CTR within an analysis. It can serve as a benchmark for comparing creatives or identifying which combination of message, format and targeting attracts the most clicks.

A very high CTR does not necessarily mean good results: it may stem from a misleading ad, accidental clicks or invalid traffic. It should therefore be read alongside conversion rate and visit quality.
