Location-based advertising (LBA)

Location-based advertising, or LBA, uses geographical signals to distribute messages related to an area or situation. It may work with broad estimates or more precise locations

What it means, how it is used and where it comes up, with its related concepts.

What it is and how it works

Proximity does not ensure interest, and an estimated position may contain errors. The design should limit data to its intended purpose and comply with applicable conditions. Not all location data automatically constitutes a special legal category, although its use may reveal sensitive information depending on the context.
