Reinventing faith in search of spirituality
In the whirlwind of daily life, immersed in production and the pursuit of material wellbeing, consumers tend to adopt automatic behaviours. Attention is scattered and the need arises to take a moment to stop, listen and reconnect with their inner world.
Within this hyperconnected reality, figures emerge who expose the paradox of faith. Profiles that champion religion and spirituality adopt moral values, creating identification with their community and building direct bridges to the products they recommend.
However, the rise of spirituality is not limited to conventional religion. More and more people are venturing to explore their own beliefs, beyond traditional religious structures, in search of peace and a calmer lifestyle.
So, although new generations show less interest in religion, they seek deeper connections with the spiritual, marked by individualism and growing concern for mental health. Spirituality has become a journey of self-discovery rather than a search for the divine.
In this phenomenon that spans faith, spirituality and the age of posturing, it will be key to explore the role of companies in recognising the values they identify with through their actions and ambassadors.
Beliefs evolve, rituals adapt and the search for meaning persists. Spirituality becomes a reflection of the constant need to connect with the transcendent and to answer the eternal questions about our identity, our origin and, above all, our destiny.

Category Manager Spain at Fournier
In recent years, we have seen a rising trend around the world of tarot and esotericism, and we have seen it reflected in our sales. We also see that the target audience has broadened to other communities. It is no longer only people closely linked to the world of tarot who look for our products; design lovers and even collectors are buying our decks too.
In this regard, at Fournier we have been focusing for several years on the culture of tarot and esotericism, given its close relationship with the world of playing cards, and launching this type of product on the market with success and a very good reception. However, due to the increase in demand, especially in recent years and more specifically since the pandemic, we have considerably expanded our catalogue of tarot decks, prioritising exclusive designs and improving their quality.
For this reason, as well as making decks, we are looking to diversify through collaborations with associations and companies from other sectors, finding synergies to offer this community different ways of relating to our tarots. We have launched collaborations with national and international illustrators, worked with major textile companies to launch clothing lines inspired by our tarot cards, and for several years we have sponsored the International Congress of Playing Cards and Tarot held in Spain.
Such is its weight in the company that in 2024 we will change the brand of all our products aimed at the “spirituality” sector. The tarots will still be made at our plant in Legutiano, but they will be sold under the Duserre brand, with the aim of establishing it as the international tarot brand of the whole Cartamundi group.
A growing trend that we believe will last for years. Society in general gives more and more importance to the search for the spiritual, and the disciplines that meet those needs are booming.
