UX research

In recent months we have seen the return of an aspect of design that was already known but is now being revalued: user research, which provides an essential foundation for design strategy.

The researcher's role is growing within multidisciplinary teams, because research responds to an ever greater and more refined interest in putting users at the centre, in search of a better understanding of who they are, how they act and why, what they expect or want from brands… That is why many research methods that have existed for decades are more fashionable today than ever: because of the importance of fine-tuning an increasingly effective UX that is, for that very reason, centred on users' knowledge and motivations. There is no good user experience without solid research behind it. A reality that has taken the form of a trend this year and is becoming ever more dominant.
