E-commerce power
E-commerce power
E-commerce becomes the main point of sale.
At a glance
The economic crisis resulting from the current state of emergency has put many businesses in check, and they have seen e-commerce as the only viable alternative to keep operating. Small and medium-sized shops that until now had sold exclusively in physical stores have started to go digital. Along the same lines, we also see new groups of older consumers joining online shopping and so contributing to its growth. On the other hand, the list of companies in non-essential activities that have decided to suspend deliveries or close their online shops is also growing. Clearly not all of them can afford to, but those that do justify their decision on the grounds of keeping the professionals who work in the logistics chain safe.
