What is a brand ambassador?

Person employed by businesses and organizations to represent and promote one of their brands, contributing in general terms to improving its image or its sales.

They tend to be leaders or influencers by nature, benchmarks within the professional world in which they operate. Sports personalities are a classic example of brand ambassadors, such as the footballer Leo Messi and his work for Adidas. Brand ambassadors tend to have greater commitment and loyalty towards the product or service, with which they are thoroughly familiar and to which they have an emotional attachment.
