What is a brand?

Unique and distinctive product, service or company identity, comparable with its personality. It is comprised of a tangible component (verbal and visual identity) and intangible elements: a reputation that may indicate efficiency, affinity, credibility, etc. As a whole it represents a value added that goes beyond the specific attributes of the product or service. Some brands manage to establish an emotional link with the public, fruit of their satisfaction or nostalgia, that is expressed through loyalty.

A brand is one of a company's main assets and a basic element in the advertising universe.
