What is CPA or cost per action?

Online advertising pricing model which bases price on the results obtained: the advertiser pays a fee based on the number of visitors arriving at their website via online advertising that perform a specific action, be it complete a registration or information request (cost per lead), make a purchase (cost per acquisition), or any other action agreed in advance.

The process may be imposed, agreed between the parties or decided via auction.
