What is GRP or gross rating point?

Indicator for the total number of impacts achieved per 100 people in a target audience over a set period of time (a campaign, a week…). Used for media planning, to measure the impact of a particular campaign, but not useful for measuring concentration or dispersion, because it doesn't account for duplicates between different media and repetitions, that is, 100 GRP may mean that all objectives have been met by a campaign, or that only 1% have been met, but 100 times.
