What is contextual advertising?

The adaptation of advertising content to a user's profile or the thematic context in which the user is browsing. It is a highly segmented and non-intrusive advertising technique, given that the product or service is only shown to a public that is already potentially interested in it. The advertiser achieves this specialisation by associating certain keywords with the advert so the server can distribute it to the appropriate browsers.

Payment for this type of online advertising is based on the number of clicks obtained, that is, the advertiser pays when a customer shows interest in the message and is redirected to their page.
