What is bootcamp?

A specialist and very intensive training format, normally lasting a few weeks, focusing on practice and which seeks to address a specific need at the business. No academic training is required in order to attend bootcamp, and often only basic knowledge of the subject-matter is necessary. It is normally led by teachers with broad knowledge and extensive professional experience. It has its origins in military training – also known as bootcamp – where it is used to provide soldiers with intense and profound preparation within a limited time, so as to acquire knowledge within one specific field.
