What is Google Street View?

Service available on Google Maps and Google Earth, that enables cities and places worldwide to be explored, thanks to panoramic images obtained at ground level. To produce such images, Google uses diverse vehicles equipped with a special camera.

This feature was launched in 2007 and was initially only available for certain cities in the USA. It currently provides images for places across all five continents, including the Arctic and Antarctic.
