What is virtual assistant?

Software program for which the user interface is the recognition and processing of the user’s voice, such that the assistant can process, interpret, and respond by performing the task asked of it, provided that this is within its possibilities. In order to work, it is fed with information thanks to a system of machine learning. Siri, Google Assistant, Cortana, or Alexa are examples of virtual assistants on the market.
