What is a style sheet?

Mechanism that allows some kind of style (font, size, font colour, background colour, paragraphs, spaces…) to be added to web documents by way of using a series of style rules or instructions that are normally contained in an annex *.CSS file. Proper use of style sheets is one of the fundamental elements of digital publishing, because it helps to define one single aspect for all of the pages on a website.
