What is user-centred design?

This is the most widely-used theoretical framework among specialists in user experience, taking end users into account right from the start and all the way through the development process when creating a (normally digital) product or service, with the aim of ensuring that the experience is intuitive, useful, and agreeable throughout the whole time that the user is interacting with it. In practice, this approach requires an in-depth knowledge of users and their behaviour, actively involving them in the different stages of the process, repeatedly evaluating the product or service with them, and adopting a multidisciplinary perspective.
